ABOUT US
The Friends of the Mansion at Smithville (FOMAS) is a non-profit organization established to help preserve, restore and furnish the mansion in the time period that Hezekiah B. Smith resided at Smithville (1865-1887).
We provide docent guided tours of the Mansion and Annex from May through October. During the regular tour season you will receive a full tour of period decorated rooms and hear the fascinating history of Smithville. Both the first and second floor rooms are available to view. We re-open for our Victorian Christmas Tours in December. The Mansion and Annex rooms are decorated by local garden clubs, civic clubs and individuals based on a unique theme each year. We give daily tours during this special season, along with candlelight tours and Christmas teas.
The Mansion is also opened for special walk-through tours when the Burlington County Parks host events during the spring, summer and fall.
We have monthly teas and theme teas from May to October and in December.
FOMAS has for sale Memorial Bricks to be place in Smithville Village for $100.00. Contact Trustee Pat Collom for more information. Email: [email protected]
If you have an interest in volunteering in a small or large way, we would love to have you join us. We need volunteers to give tours of the Mansion, help with teas, special events, candlelight tours, mailing, our special events, help in our Christmas Boutique, and with the upkeep of our gardens.
